ARPOR (a Company of the Orogel group) has inaugurated in of Policoro (MT), on September 2th, 2025, the largest automated cold storage warehouse in the south of Italy. The facility is meant to make more efficient, safe and sustainable the whole productive process of the Company.

The new warehouse has a storage capacity of 32'000 pallets for the conservation of over 15'000 tons of products, for a total volume of over 150'000 mc, and is able to maintain a constant temperature of -25°C.

Inside, the handling area consists of two floors of 2'500 sqm in total, a controlled temperature of +5°C, and automated handling systems.

At the heart of the facility there is the refrigeration plant with a cooling capacity of 2'500 kWf, coupled with a powerful electrical system that receives energy from a cogeneration plant and a photovoltaic system.

ENSER was in charge of the Detailed Design of all the civil works, the assistance to the Project Management for the structural works and to the Commissioning, for a total duration of two years during which we were pleased to visit several times th beautiful and welcoming Basilicata region.
