Project summary

Next to the design of the new prefabricated bridge deck (3'000t weight, 4m length and 14m width), ENSER has conceived all the construction phases of this challenging project. Only the last phases of the bridge translation have been executed in a situation of temporry interruption of railway traffic at the station of Arcueil-Cachan.

Other parts of this project that have been designed by ENSER include:

  • The beams on which the new bridge deck was pre-fabricated, requiring a system of deep foundations;
  • The North and South abutments of the new bridge, including the temporary central pile;
  • The new bridge deck;

The whole bridge was modeled in a BIM environment, including both temporary (centerings of the North and South abutments and of the central pile) and permanent structures.
