ENSER counts today on the support of an in-house group of 9 Geologists. They provide an interpretation of the reference geological model of every project, and participate in the activity of soil characterization, always aiming at the definition of geotechnical parameters for the subsequent engineering activities.
Other key competences of ENSER in this field are: planning and coordination of geognostic investigations, geological and geomechanical survey concerning static and dynamic aspects, GIS mapping, hydrogeological 3D modelling, point clouds analysis obtained by UAV photogrammetry.
We have an extensive knowledge of the Italian geological layout due to the large number of railway projects completed with success, such as the Brenner Base Tunnel, the Turin-Lyon, the Napoli-Bari and the Palermo-Catania segments. We gained international experience in countries with very different geography, namely in the analysis of the seismic hazard of the port of Kribi (Cameroun), or for the design of the new railway system in Oman.
