ROAD AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY INFRASTRUCTURES

Road and Sustainable Mobility Infrastructures

Roads are a valuable asset in any civilized context: historically one of the first means of development, they are nowadays a field of application for the latest advances in safety and technology.

A reliable design of road infrastructures requires competences in different sectors of Civil Engineering. Italian geography is such that densely populated areas, territorial restrictions, unstable slopes, seismicity, hydrogeological and meteorological factors always provide a challenge for the road designer.

Directed and supervised for over 30 years by two Professors of Bridge Design and Foundations Design at the University of Bologna, ENSER professionals are skilled in multi-disciplinary design of infrastructures such as road alignments, junctions, bridges, retaining walls, tunnels, hydraulic structures and all other elements related to a road or highway.

The solutions we propose to our clients include different methods of construction, stabilization, drainage, scour protection and reduction of environmental impacts. Recently, our portfolio has been enriched by the design of sustainable mobility routes, such as the Southern lot of the Ciclovia dell'Acquedotto Pugliese and the super-cicleway Firenze-Prato.
